Harris is expected to lead the Democratic ticket against former President Donald Trump in November. Arkansas lawmakers also praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following his address to Congress, despite protests outside questioning Israel’s tactics in its conflict with Hamas. The U.S. House of Representatives has approved a resolution setting the unveiling of a statue of Johnny Cash in Emancipation Hall on Capitol Hill for September 24. As Congress enters its annual August recess, lawmakers will have a limited amount of time to address legislative tasks, including passing a new version of the Water Resources Development Act.
