Three-star offensive lineman Lionel Prudhomme has officially committed to join the Arkansas football team, making him the 18th commitment for the 2025 class. The 6-3, 290-pound lineman from Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve chose the Razorbacks over offers from several other schools, including Ole Miss, Missouri, and Texas Tech. Prudhomme cited his strong relationship with Arkansas coach Sam Pittman and offensive line coach Eric Mateos as a key factor in his decision. During his official visit to Fayetteville, Prudhomme was impressed by the coaches’ emphasis on him as a priority player for the team.
Mateos offered Prudhomme a spot on the team back in January, and after an unofficial visit to Arkansas in March, he ultimately committed to the program, bypassing plans for official visits to Tulane, Texas Tech, and Mississippi State. Despite being rated as a three-star recruit by On3.com, Prudhomme’s commitment adds depth to the Razorbacks’ offensive line, with him being the fourth offensive lineman to pledge to the team. Prior to his commitment, Arkansas’ recruiting class was ranked No. 33 nationally by On3.com.
Prudhomme’s commitment adds a promising talent to the Razorbacks’ roster and showcases the growing success of the team’s recruitment efforts under Coach Pittman’s leadership. With his size and skills, Prudhomme has the potential to make a valuable contribution to the team’s offensive line in the coming seasons.
