Highly sought-after offensive lineman Tucker Young has officially committed to the University of Arkansas football team. The 6-5, 300-pound prospect from Hot Springs Lakeside made the decision during the Hogwild Hangout recruiting event over the weekend. Young, who had also visited Arkansas for the spring game in April, received an offer from the Razorbacks after impressing at a lineman camp in June. Along with an offer from Memphis, Young was recruited by offensive line coach Eric Mateos and special teams coordinator Scott Fountain.
Expressing his excitement about joining the Razorbacks, Young highlighted the positive experience he had working with Coach Mateos at the camp. He also emphasized his strong connection to the university, calling it his dream school. With impressive stats like a 365-pound bench press, a 515-pound squat, and a 5.1-second 40-yard dash time, Young is expected to make a significant impact on the team.
Looking ahead, Young is focused on finishing his high school career at Lakeside, where he hopes to lead his team to victory and prepare for the transition to college football. His commitment to Arkansas makes him the second player to join the 2026 class, adding to the anticipation surrounding the team’s future. With his talent and dedication, Young is poised to make a name for himself as a key player for the Razorbacks in the years to come.
