University senior long snapper Jordan Stein has been named to the 2021 Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List. This prestigious award recognizes the top senior long snapper in college football. The award, named after former Chicago Bears long snapper Patrick Mannelly, is in its third year of existence and aims to highlight the often-overlooked position of long snapper.
Stein, a native of Dallas, Texas, has been a key contributor for the Razorbacks since joining the team as a walk-on in 2018. Known for his consistency and accuracy on snaps, Stein has played in every game for the past three seasons and has been a reliable presence on special teams.
Head coach Sam Pittman praised Stein’s dedication and work ethic, describing him as a model player both on and off the field. Stein’s teammates also lauded his leadership abilities and his role in setting a positive example for the rest of the team.
In addition to his on-field performance, Stein has excelled academically, earning a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll multiple times during his time at Arkansas. He is set to graduate with a degree in business administration this spring.
Stein is honored to be named to the Patrick Mannelly Award Watch List and is grateful for the recognition of his hard work and dedication to his craft. He is focused on continuing to improve and help his team succeed in the upcoming season.
The winner of the Patrick Mannelly Award will be announced in December, with the award presentation taking place in Chicago in January. Stein will look to prove himself as one of the top long snappers in the country as he competes for this prestigious honor.
