Obituary for Carl Edward Hines published in The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

Carl Edward Hines, a beloved member of the Little Rock community, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on July 23, 2024. He was born in Sweet Home, Ark., to Guy Lehman and Blanche Haley-Hines, Sr. Preceded in death by his wife and daughter, Carl is survived by seven daughters, three sons, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends.
A viewing will be held on August 1, with a funeral service the following day at St. Mark Baptist Church, officiated by Senior Pastor Dr. Phillip L. Pointer, Sr. Carl will be laid to rest at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Sherwood, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Harold Banks Junior Golf Foundation.
Carl’s life will be celebrated and his memory cherished by all who knew him. His legacy of love and family will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
