AT&T and HUMAN I-T have joined forces to provide students in Central Arkansas with essential tools for digital access. The partnership has resulted in the distribution of 200 refurbished laptops and backpacks filled with school supplies to organizations such as the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Little Rock and Boys and Girls Club of Saline County. The students who will benefit from this initiative were pre-selected before the event.
These donations are part of AT&T’s larger mission to bridge the gap in digital access for students across the country. The backpacks will include items such as notebooks, pencils, headphones, and a card with words of encouragement from AT&T employees.
The distribution of these laptops and backpacks is set to take place at the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Arkansas in Little Rock on July 30 and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Saline County on August 1. This effort is aimed at addressing the issue of digital exclusion, especially in Arkansas where 16% of households do not have access to the internet.
Through this partnership, AT&T and HUMAN I-T are working to ensure that students in need are equipped with the necessary tools to thrive in a digital world. This initiative highlights the importance of addressing digital disparities and providing equal opportunities for education and success for all students in Central Arkansas.
