The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has seen substantial growth in enrollment for both freshman students and transfer students for the fall 2023 semester. With a nearly 27 percent increase in first-time freshman and an 18 percent increase in transfer enrollment, the university credits this growth to their efforts to provide an affordable and accessible higher education option.
Chancellor Christina Drale attributes this enrollment growth to the hard work and dedication of faculty, staff, and administration in creating an environment that attracts students and supports their success. The university also recently launched the Trojan Guarantee scholarship initiative, offering full tuition to pre-eligible students, as well as other scholarship programs aimed at making education more affordable.
While undergraduate enrollment saw a 3.5 percent increase, graduate enrollment decreased due to a decline in international student numbers. Despite this, UA Little Rock remains optimistic about the overall growth and success of the university for the academic year.
This positive growth in enrollment is a reflection of the university’s commitment to providing students with quality education and support. As UA Little Rock continues to focus on affordability and accessibility, it is poised to further expand and serve the needs of its student population.
