Steve Serio and Nicky Nieves selected as Team USA flag bearers for 2024 Paralympic Games

Athletes Steve Serio and Nicky Nieves have been chosen as the Team USA flag bearers for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. Serio, a wheelchair basketball star who will be competing in his fifth Paralympics, has already won two gold medals and one bronze. Nieves, a sitting volleyball player, won a gold medal at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. The opening ceremony will take place on August 28 at the Place de la Concorde and the Champs-Elysées, making history as the first to not be held in a stadium. The Games, featuring over 4,000 athletes from around the world competing in 22 sports, will run until September 8. USA Network and Peacock will provide coverage of the ceremony starting with a one-hour pre-show at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the arrival of the flag bearers and the opening spectacle at 2 p.m. ET. The full schedule for the events can be found on the Olympics website. Serio, 36, and Nieves, 34, are both experienced and accomplished athletes ready to represent Team USA with pride.
