50 Cent produces Netflix docuseries on Diddy abuse allegations, calling it a multi-decade complex narrative

Netflix is working on a docuseries produced by 50 Cent that focuses on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and sexual assault allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs. The project is currently in production and directed by Alexandria Stapleton. 50 Cent expressed a commitment to presenting authentic and nuanced perspectives and ensuring that individual actions do not overshadow the broader contributions of hip-hop culture.

The docuseries was announced in December after Combs faced lawsuits from multiple women, including sexual assault allegations from his former employee, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones. Combs has been denied bail after being arrested in New York on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation for prostitution. He has also faced additional lawsuits from model Crystal McKinney, former Danity Kane singer Dawn Richard, and allegations of abuse and sexual battery.

Combs has denied the allegations, claiming that people are attempting to destroy his reputation for financial gain. The series will donate proceeds to support sexual assault victims. The project marks Netflix’s first official confirmation of involvement in the series, which was previously discussed by 50 Cent in July. Despite Combs’ denial of wrongdoing, the series aims to shed light on the disturbing allegations and provide a voice for victims of sexual assault.
