Israeli military bombed the compound of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza, killing one person, injuring seven, and destroying 18 tents. The hospital had been sheltering displaced Palestinians and was facing a severe shortage of medical staff and supplies. The attack is the latest in a series that has targeted medical facilities in Gaza, which is considered a war crime. The bodies of those killed were taken for funeral prayers and burial while others injured were transported to Al-Aqsa Hospital for treatment. In a separate Israeli strike, four people were killed in the Jabalia refugee camp, with more injured in other areas of Gaza. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas condemned the US for its support of Israel’s actions in Gaza during an address to the United Nations. The latest figures released by the Ministry of Health show that Israel’s war on Gaza has killed over 41,000 Palestinians and wounded over 96,000, with many of the victims being women and children. Abbas urged the international community to stop supplying weapons to Israel and to take action to protect the people of Gaza.
