Alvertis Murry, a North Little Rock man, was taken into custody by Arkansas State Police agents on Monday in connection to a shooting on Interstate 630 earlier this month. Murry, who was arrested in Georgia after the shooting, was handed over to state police investigators. The shooting, which occurred on Oct. 11, left another driver injured with a gunshot wound to the arm. Murry faces felony charges of first-degree battery and possession of a firearm by certain persons. He is currently held in Pulaski County jail on a $200,000 bond. Authorities did not specify the charges Murry was facing in Georgia or how they determined he was the shooter. The incident took place near the Woodrow Street exit and resulted in Murry firing several rounds into the victim’s vehicle.
