Arkansas Razorbacks Dominate Pacific with 91-72 Victory
FAYETTEVILLE – In an impressive display at Bud Walton Arena, the #20 Arkansas Razorbacks secured a commanding 91-72 win over the Pacific Tigers on Monday night. Four Razorbacks hit double digits, with Adou Thiero leading the charge, scoring 23 points, just one shy of his career high. Thiero showcased his athleticism with six dunks and contributed significantly on defense, tying for the team lead with four steals while also grabbing six rebounds.
Boogie Fland, a consistent performer for Arkansas this season, added 20 points, marking the fourth consecutive game he scored in double figures. The 6-foot-4 guard also played a pivotal role in the second half, netting 13 points. Zvonimir Ivisic and D.J. Wagner contributed 15 and 14 points, respectively, with Wagner also leading the team with five assists.
The Razorbacks maintained an early lead, but Pacific kept the game competitive, narrowing Arkansas’s lead to just two points with 12:57 left. However, Thiero’s free throws shifted the momentum, enabling Arkansas to stretch the lead into double digits for the remainder of the game. The Razorback defense proved crucial, forcing Pacific into a shooting slump, where the Tigers missed 13 consecutive shots and finished the game shooting just 32.2% from the field.
Elijah Fisher was the standout for Pacific, leading all scorers with 23 points and shooting an impressive 8-of-10 from the field.
With this victory, Arkansas continues its four-game homestand, next facing off against Little Rock on Friday, November 22, at 8 p.m., which will be broadcast on SEC Network. For more information, follow @RazorbackMBB on Twitter.
