Arkansas Shimmers with Holiday Spirit: Ten Must-See Light Events for the Season
As the holiday season kicks off, Arkansas becomes a picturesque wonderland illuminated by festive light displays. Families, couples, and friends are invited to experience the enchantment at several spectacular events across the state. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette is excited to share ten holiday light events that promise unforgettable memories and captivating photo opportunities.
The holiday festivities begin on November 22 with the "Lights of the Ozarks" in Fayetteville, a dazzling spectacle that lights up the Historic Downtown Square at 6 p.m. The following day, November 23, features multiple events: the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at The Promenade at Chenal in west Little Rock and the Northern Lights Holiday Festival in Argenta Plaza, North Little Rock. Visitors can also enjoy the Holiday Lights Opening Night at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, a ticketed event sure to delight.
On November 25, Bright the Night illuminates Little Rock’s Capitol Avenue from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., followed by White River Wonderland on November 27 at Chaney Drive in Batesville. As the month progresses, the Trail of Lights opens on November 29 in Sherwood, and Illuminate takes over Rogers Plaza in Conway on November 30.
Mark your calendars for December 6 as Christmas in the Park lights up Lake Willastein Drive in Maumelle, and don’t miss the 86th Arkansas State Capitol Christmas Lighting Ceremony on December 7 in Little Rock.
