The Arkansas Cinema Society has exciting film offerings for the holiday season, including a free screening of Brady Corbet’s “The Brutalist” on Dec. 19. The film, distributed by A24 and running at 3 hours and 35 minutes, has received serious Oscar buzz and rave reviews from Rolling Stone and The Guardian. The historical drama, helmed by Adrien Brody, tells the story of a Jewish architect who survives the Holocaust and emigrates to the U.S. Tickets for the screenings at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts’ Performing Arts Theater can be purchased/reserved online. In addition to “The Brutalist,” other films showing in December include “The Family Stone” on Dec. 11 and “The Muppet Christmas Carol” on Dec. 18.
