Arkansas easily defeats UMES in a dominant victory


#19/21 Arkansas dominated Maryland Eastern Shore in a 109-35 victory at Bud Walton Arena. The Razorbacks unleashed a 28-0 run in the first half, tying for the third-largest margin of victory in school history. UMES’ 35 points tied for the third-lowest by a Razorback opponent, with the last time Arkansas holding an opponent to such a low score being in 2005.

Seven Razorbacks scored in double figures, with freshman Karter Knox leading the charge with 21 points. Johnell Davis and Boogie Fland added 16 each. Adou Thiero contributed 11 points, five assists, and four steals. This was the 146th time Arkansas scored in triple digits in its history.

Arkansas now takes on Illinois at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City on Thanksgiving Day, a game that will be televised on CBS for the first time. The Razorbacks showcased their dominance in both halves, with a 60-15 lead in the first half and a 49-35 lead in the second half. They shot 66.7% from the field in the first half and made a season-high 15 three-pointers.

The victory marks another impressive performance for the Razorbacks under coach Calipari, who has now led a team to score 100 points for the 46th time. The team looks forward to carrying this momentum into their upcoming matchup against Illinois. Arkansas continues to showcase its strength on both ends of the court, highlighting their potential for a successful season ahead.
