Georgia Tech closed out their seven-game homestand with a dominant 87-68 victory over Central Arkansas at McCamish Pavilion. The visiting Bears managed to keep the game competitive through their 3-point shooting, hitting 14 threes in the game. However, Georgia Tech’s balanced offense and strong defense led them to pull away in the second half for a comfortable win. Coach Damon Stoudamire commended his team’s effort, especially highlighting Jaedan Mustaf’s defensive contributions and Lance Terry’s career-high 25 points.
Despite missing key guards due to injuries, Georgia Tech put on an impressive performance with Mustaf contributing 18 points, Nait George achieving a double-double with 16 points and 11 assists, and Baye NDongo narrowly missing a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Georgia Tech’s strong defensive effort limited Central Arkansas’ scoring opportunities throughout the game.
Looking ahead, Georgia Tech faces a tough December schedule, including a matchup against Oklahoma in the SEC/ACC Challenge and their ACC opener against North Carolina. Stoudamire emphasized the importance of building momentum from their recent victories and continuing to improve as they face challenging opponents in the upcoming games. The team is focused on staying prepared and giving their best performance against top-ranked teams to demonstrate their growth and competitiveness in the ACC.
