E-town College Introduces AI and Educational Technology Program


Elizabethtown College has introduced a new Artificial Intelligence and Educational Technology Leadership Graduate certificate through its School for Graduate and Professional Studies. The program aims to equip future education leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in areas such as artificial intelligence, educational technology, online learning, and cybersecurity. Classes for the program are set to commence on May 12, 2025.

Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies, Marcy McCarty, emphasized the importance of educators being at the forefront of innovation to prepare future generations. The online program consists of five courses and 15 credits that can be completed in a year. It is designed for professionals within various educational sectors, including K-12 education, educational technology, higher education, training and development, and interdisciplinary industries.

Participants in the program will explore AI trends, online and blended learning practices, and strategies to enhance student engagement and outcomes. Elizabethtown College’s Assessment and Curriculum Coordinator, Matt Bergman, expressed excitement about the launch of the new graduate certificate program. He stated that the program is designed to empower educators with the necessary skills to thrive in the digital age and make a significant impact on teaching and learning.

Overall, the program aims to help educators create dynamic and engaging learning environments that inspire students to reach their full potential, utilize technology for problem-solving, and become responsible digital citizens.
