Boston College women’s basketball will be traveling to Fayetteville for a 7 p.m. (ET) game against Arkansas in the second SEC/ACC Challenge in Bud Walton Arena. The team is looking to bounce back from a narrow 54-49 loss to Oregon State in their last game, with player T’yana Todd leading the team with 13 points. A win against Arkansas would give BC a 7-3 record, snap a two-game losing streak, and mark their first win over Arkansas in the SEC/ACC Challenge.
Head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee is just two wins away from achieving 100 career wins at BC. Freshman Tatum Greene is currently third in the ACC, averaging 1.4 steals per game. Player Teya Sidberry is making her mark on the team with her record of 358 career assists.
BC will need to focus on capitalizing on second-chance opportunities and stopping Arkansas’ 3-point attack, as the Razorbacks are second in the SEC in this category. The Eagles will also need to improve their offensive performance and aim for a better start in the first period.
Arkansas is currently 4-5 in the season, with leading scorers Izzy Higginbottom and Jenna Lawrence putting up impressive numbers. The Razorbacks have proven to be strong in 3-point shooting, which poses a challenge for BC in their upcoming game.
Boston College is looking to secure their first win over Arkansas and in the SEC/ACC Challenge. After this game, they will face Virginia in their ACC opener on Sunday.
