Interview with Hot Springs Rock Band Ghost Bones: Delving into their Visceral and Otherworldly Sound

After a six-year hiatus, Hot Springs post-punk rockers Ghost Bones are back with a new EP titled “Eternity Forever,” which features three tracks and a music video for the title song. The EP is filled with swirling guitars, thunderous drums, and Ashley Missile’s saucy vocals. The band, which includes Bobby Missile on guitar, Ryan Jolly on bass, and newcomer Devin Castle on drums, has a sound that captures the intensity of life’s shadowy corners.

The band, Ghost Bones, has evolved since their last release in 2018, with their latest work inspired by the quiet, reflective days of the pandemic. The new EP, “Eternity Forever,” is only available digitally at the moment, but there are plans to release it as a 7-inch in the near future. The band is gearing up for a show at White Water Tavern on December 13th and is planning to play more shows in Arkansas and potentially travel out of state as well.

Despite the challenges of building a rock band in Hot Springs, the band finds opportunities in the town’s vibrant arts community and unique inspiration. The indie music scene in Arkansas has grown and diversified since 2018, with more infrastructure for independent artists, an expanded festival circuit, and a connected community. Ghost Bones aims to take their audience on a journey through mystery, mortality, and the unknown, creating music that is visceral and otherworldly.
