NATCHITOCHES, La. – The University of Central Arkansas Bears started their 2025 season with a 6-2 victory over the Northwestern Demons. UCA’s starting pitcher, Charlie Christensen, put on a solid performance, striking out six and allowing one earned run over four innings. Timely hitting from players like Zeb Allen, Nathan Negre, and Bryce Cermenelli helped the Bears secure the win. The Demons managed to score some runs but were unable to catch up to the Bears’ lead.
Allen, a standout from the ASUN All-Freshman team last year, had a strong performance, going 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and a walk. Negre also contributed with a 2 for 5 performance and an RBI. The Bears’ strong pitching and hitting performance set the tone for the game, ultimately resulting in a victory.
