Kemuri to close WLR location, transitioning to dinner-only service in Hillcrest

Kemuri, a popular restaurant in Little Rock, has announced the closure of its West Little Rock location on Chenal Parkway. The space will be subleased to Milano’s Italian Grill, which is currently located off Highway 10. Kemuri originally closed last summer for renovations but could not reach an agreement with the landlord about the unfinished work. The Hillcrest location will also be undergoing renovations, but will remain open for dinner service only, citing the lack of profitability in serving lunch since COVID. Brunch service will also be temporarily discontinued, with plans to launch a new brunch menu later in the year. The last brunch service will be this Sunday. Jeremy Bettinardi, the general manager at Kemuri, expressed disappointment about the closure but remains optimistic about the future of the restaurant. Customers can still visit the Hillcrest location for dinner service from 4-10 p.m. daily. Kemuri’s renovations and rebranding efforts come amidst a challenging time for the restaurant industry, with many establishments facing difficulties due to the ongoing pandemic. Despite these challenges, Kemuri is determined to adapt and continue serving its loyal customers in the community. For more updates and information on Kemuri’s future plans, customers can follow the restaurant’s social media pages and website.
