Central Arkansas Track & Field athletes break school records at the Ichabod Challenge and Tyson Invite events


The Central Arkansas men’s and women’s track & field teams showcased an impressive display of talent at the Ichabod Challenge and Tyson Invitational this past weekend. The Bears set multiple personal records and broke five school records, setting the stage for an exciting indoor season.

The women’s team saw standout performances from Bailee Villavaso, Joia Perry, and Joy Nance, who all set school records in their respective events. Several other athletes also achieved personal bests, including KJ Wagnon, Alexis Frick, Anne Baliel, and many more.

On the men’s side, Pete Johnson and Jaden Schneeberger led the way with record-breaking performances in the 3K and shot put, respectively. A number of other athletes, such as Will Hill, Mason Bickle, and Alexander Anderson, also set new personal records in their events.

With the success at the Ichabod Challenge and Tyson Invitational, the Bears are now gearing up for the ASUN Indoor Championships in Louisville, Ky. on February 27-28. The team will look to build on their impressive performances and continue their momentum as they aim for more record-breaking achievements in the upcoming meet.
