Passenger in flipped Delta plane in Toronto describes experience of being upside down, ‘held in place by seatbelts’


A Delta flight crash-landed in Toronto, leaving passengers hanging upside down in their seat belts. Pete Koukov recorded the chaotic evacuation onto the snowy tarmac. 21 injured passengers were taken to hospitals, with 19 released as of Tuesday morning. Thankfully, there were no fatalities. The flight, operated by Endeavor Air, had arrived from Minneapolis. Despite the windy, snowy conditions, the cause of the crash remains unknown. Passengers were able to escape the flipped plane relatively quickly, with assistance from flight attendants. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada will investigate the incident. Koukov praised the crew for their organized evacuation efforts. The quick response of both passengers and crew ensured everyone was able to safely exit the aircraft.
