This network intercepts women seeking abortion care and diverts them to crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) by using deceptive tactics to delay, confuse, and coerce them into one reproductive option. The APN’s MyARnurse hotline, which is a part of this network, misleads women by not providing real medical care and steering them away from licensed medical providers. Instead, they funnel them towards anti-abortion pregnancy centers that receive state funding but offer no real health care or privacy protection for clients.
The APN uses taxpayer dollars to manipulate online search engine optimization to target women seeking abortion information and intercept them before they see a licensed physician. The group, led by anti-abortion activist Christie Robertson, is deeply connected to Arkansas’ Republican establishment and is actively eroding the right of Arkansans to vote on their own reproductive choices.
Crisis pregnancy centers delay access to real health care, spread medical misinformation, and pressure pregnant people into forced birth. To combat this deception, Arkansans are urged to demand an end to taxpayer funding for crisis pregnancy centers, expose APN and its legislative allies, and protect direct democracy in the state. It’s time to defund deception, call out lawmakers enabling this abuse, and stand up for reproductive rights and the people’s power.
