Arkansas State University announces upcoming events in celebration of Women’s History Month

The Multicultural Center at Arkansas State University is hosting a series of events to celebrate Women’s History Month on campus. The theme for this year’s programs is “Moving Forward Together: Women Inspiring Generations.” The events include a Lunch and Learn panel discussion, a talk by graduate student Saba Jamshed about her journey from Pakistan to the United States, a Vision Board Party, a Thankful Thursday tabling event, a panel discussion on prevention, advocacy, and leadership, and a book signing by author Stephen Koch.

The events aim to highlight the challenges and triumphs that have shaped the leadership paths of women, while offering valuable insights on how the next generation of women leaders can continue to inspire positive change. Additionally, the events will explore the often overlooked role of women in music history, with a focus on figures from Arkansas who have made an impact on American culture.

The Women’s History Month Steering Committee invites guests to participate in these events and celebrate the legacy of women who have transformed the world. The events provide an opportunity for attendees to learn, reflect, and be inspired by the journeys and accomplishments of women from diverse backgrounds. The series of events is a testament to the university’s commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and gender equality on campus.
