Kimberly Burch, the fiancée of Faster Pussycat lead singer Taime Downe, tragically died after going overboard an ’80s-themed Royal Caribbean cruise. After an argument with Downe, Burch fell from the ship into the waters off South Grand Bahama. Despite search efforts by the U.S. Coast Guard, Royal Bahamas Defense Force, and AIRMIA MH-65, her body was not found. The search was temporarily suspended due to weather conditions. Burch’s family denied that she had depression or emotional issues, stating that her drinking on the cruise was unusual for her. The family released a statement on Facebook mourning her passing and asking for prayers. Faster Pussycat, the band on the cruise, did not immediately comment on the incident.
Burch had posted a photo of her and Downe together in Miami just before the tragedy occurred. Downe had shared a Valentine’s Day post dedicated to Burch earlier in February. The couple appeared to be enjoying their time on the cruise before the incident. The Royal Bahamas Police Force is currently investigating the case. Kimberly Burch is remembered as a beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt, and her sudden death has left her family devastated.
