Arkansas State Selected to Represent Sun Belt Conference in 2025 NIT

The Arkansas State men’s basketball team has accepted an invitation to compete in the 2025 National Invitation Tournament (NIT), earning the No. 3 seed in the Dallas Region. They will host Saint Louis in the first round on March 18 at First National Bank Arena in Jonesboro, Ark. The Sun Belt Conference has had a team in the NIT for four consecutive seasons, with Arkansas State making their fifth appearance in program history. Led by head coach Bryan Hodgson, the Red Wolves tied for the Sun Belt’s regular season championship and are ranked No. 94 in the NCAA’s NET rankings. Key players for Arkansas State include senior guard Taryn Todd and junior forward Izaiyah Nelson, both of whom were All-Sun Belt selections. Todd averages 14.7 points per game, while Nelson ranks fourth in the Sun Belt for rebounds with 8.7 per contest. The NIT semifinals and championship will be held at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on April 1 and 3, respectively. The game against Saint Louis will be televised on ESPNU. This opportunity gives the Red Wolves a chance to showcase their talent on a national stage and compete for a prestigious title in college basketball.
