Star Arkansas freshman guard Boogie Fland has been given the green light to return to the court after being medically cleared to resume basketball activities following a thumb injury. Fland sustained the injury against Florida on January 11 and had surgery to repair his Ulnar Collateral Ligament (UCL). The team had struggled in his absence but managed to improve its performance and secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament picture.
With Fland back in the lineup, Arkansas is expected to benefit from his skills as a guard, especially since the team has been dealing with injuries to other players. Fland had an impressive season averaging 15.1 points, 5.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game in 18 appearances. He leads all major conference freshmen in assists per game and is one of only eight players to average at least 15.0 points and 5.0 assists while shooting 35% from 3-point range.
The addition of Fland is anticipated to boost Arkansas as they head into the NCAA Tournament. The team’s performance has shown improvement recently, winning five of its final seven games. Fans are eagerly looking forward to seeing Fland back on the court and contributing to the team’s success in the upcoming games.
