Boulder Mayor Aaron Brockett expressed excitement about welcoming the festival to its new home, noting that Sundance’s independent and creative spirit aligns well with Boulder’s culture.
The decision to move the festival was informed by a detailed evaluation of key components essential to creating the Festival, according to Sundance Institute Board Chair Ebs Burnough. He expressed appreciation for the finalist cities and their strong proposals.
