The Clinton Foundation and the Arkansas Cinema Society are joining forces to host a screening of the documentary film “Zurawski v Texas,” which highlights the impact of abortion access restrictions. The event will take place on Monday, April 21 at the Ron Robinson Theater in Little Rock, Arkansas. The film follows the legal battle of three women who were denied abortions under Texas’s strict laws. Filmmakers Maisie Crow and Abbie Perrault will be in attendance for a conversation following the screening.
Crow, a Texas-based documentary filmmaker and photojournalist, has had her work featured on HBO and Showtime. Perrault, a Chicago-based documentary filmmaker and journalist, has produced several impactful documentary shorts and was an impact producer on the Emmy-award winning documentary “Jackson.”
The film, which premiered at the 2024 Telluride Film Festival, was executive produced by former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton. It won the Artemis Rising Foundation Award for Social Impact at the Hamptons International Film Festival. This screening is a great opportunity for the community to engage in a conversation about reproductive rights and the impact of abortion restrictions. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and the film starting at 6:30 p.m.
