Feds uncover scammer selling fake autographs of Kardashian and Trump for up to $550K

Former California resident Anthony J. Tremayne pleaded guilty to one count of mail fraud for selling fake celebrity memorabilia, including forged signatures of the Kardashians and President Donald Trump. Prosecutors said he made between $250,000 and $550,000 from 2010 to 2019. Tremayne sold memorabilia with purportedly genuine signatures of famous athletes, musicians, actors, and other celebrities nationwide.

Despite complaints from Tremayne that his business was not a big deal, FBI agents seized some of the bogus material in 2014. Among the items he sold was a “Keeping up with the Kardashians” photograph with forged signatures of three of the show’s personalities, as well as a photograph of President Trump in late 2019. Tremayne is set to be sentenced on August 11 and could face up to 20 years in prison.

Tremayne’s defense attorney could not be reached for comment. The case was reported by Senior Breaking News Reporter David K. Li, with contributions from Lindsay Good and Helen Kwong.
