The University of Central Arkansas has announced the addition of Parker Applegate, a talented transfer from Union University. The 6-foot-8 forward from Murfreesboro, Tenn., impressed with his performance at Union, where he averaged 12.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Applegate also showcased his shooting skills, making 53.6 percent of his three-point attempts and 87.9 percent of his free throws.
Head coach John Shulman expressed his excitement about adding Applegate to the team, emphasizing the player’s toughness, physicality, and effort on the court. Shulman had previously faced Applegate’s team at UAH and experienced firsthand the impact Applegate could have during a game.
Applegate’s experience in the Gulf South Conference further adds to his value as a player, having led his team in total rebounds as both a freshman and sophomore.
