BEARS SUFFER LOSS TO TIGERS

The University of Central Arkansas Bears faced off against the Memphis Tigers in a non-conference match on Tuesday night at Bear Stadium. The Bears took an early lead with an RBI double by Carter Alexander, but the Tigers responded by scoring eight consecutive runs to take control of the game. Despite the Bears managing to score two more runs in the fifth inning, they were unable to catch up to the Tigers, who ultimately won 13-3.

The Bears utilized five pitchers in a bullpen day, with Perry Titlow and Jake Jones standing out with career-high strikeout performances. The team finished with six hits from six different players, while Memphis totaled 13 hits led by Chase Dixon and Will Vasseur.

After this non-conference matchup, the Bears will now turn their focus back to ASUN action as they prepare to face the Lipscomb Bisons on Thursday night in Nashville. With a record of 14-21, the Bears will look to bounce back from their loss to Memphis and secure a victory in conference play. Fans can expect an exciting matchup as the Bears look to improve their standing in the ASUN conference.
