H.O.M.E. Vegan Restaurant Expands Menu and Space at Arkansas Baptist College
Elnora Wesley is thrilled to announce the expansion of H.O.M.E. Vegan Restaurant at Arkansas Baptist College, with a grand “re-new-all” celebration scheduled for Saturday. The restaurant, located in the campus’s First Security Community Union building at 1523 MLK Drive, features a thoughtfully organized cafeteria space divided into three sections: walk-up counters with open kitchens on either side and a barista bar in the center.
Wesley, who initially moved H.O.M.E. to the student union in February 2024, previously operated from The Food Truck Stop @ Station 801 for six years. This relocation was supported by Benito Lubazibwa, founder of ReMix Ideas, and Fitz Hill, former president of Arkansas Baptist College, aiming to bolster Black-owned businesses on campus.
H.O.M.E. is celebrated for its diverse offerings, including popular dishes like cauliflower wings, mac-no-cheese, and “chickun” spaghetti. Wesley lives by the motto “let food be your medicine” and aims to promote wellness through a new menu that introduces healthy options such as salads, pressed juices, smoothies, and more. Notable new menu items include a tofu scramble on avocado toast, carrot tuna wrap, and veggie mushroom wrap.
The grand opening event, designed as a “community call to wellness,” will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, allowing guests to sample the expanded menu. Wesley plans to further develop the juice bar and incorporate more menu items in the future. H.O.M.E. operates regular hours from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and patrons can stay updated on specials and pop-up events by following the restaurant on social media.
