Ashley Walker Commits to Arkansas, Strengthening 2026 Class
FAYETTEVILLE — In a significant boost for the Arkansas Razorbacks, offensive lineman Ashley Walker has officially committed to the team, marking him as the third player at his position to join the class of 2026. The 6-foot-7, 290-pound standout from Hollywood, Florida, Chaminade-Madonna made his decision amidst offers from prominent programs like Georgia, Ole Miss, and Kentucky.
Walker first visited Fayetteville in March and has planned an official visit set for June 13-15. His family’s recent meeting with Arkansas offensive line coach Eric Mateos helped solidify his commitment. “Mateos and I had a great conversation the other night. My family got to meet him, and they were able to get some of their questions answered about Arkansas,” Walker shared.
Having transitioned from the defensive line to offensive line last season, Walker is already making his mark as a 3-star recruit, according to On3.com. National recruiting analyst Tom Lemming praised Walker’s potential, noting, “Tall, athletic tackle, good length, technically sound. I believe he has 4-star ability.”
Walker joins fellow commitments Tucker Young from Hot Springs Lakeside and Hugh Smith of Missouri City, Texas. With his addition, Arkansas has amassed a total of 15 commitments for the 2026 recruiting class, which was ranked No. 17 nationally by 247Sports prior to Walker’s announcement.
Recruiting analyst Richard Davenport has closely followed the Razorbacks’ recruitment strategies and emphasizes the significance of Walker’s commitment to the program’s future. The addition of Walker not only enhances Arkansas’s offensive line depth but also signifies the Razorbacks’ growing appeal among top recruits.
