MUTANTS OF THE MONSTER FESTIVAL RETURNS TO DOWNTOWN LITTLE ROCK
From June 5 to June 7, the Mutants of the Monster festival will take over downtown Little Rock, promising a weekend packed with electrifying performances. Passes for the event are available at $80 for the whole weekend or $25 to $30 per day.
Highlighting the festival is the experimental duo The Body, hailing from Portland but with roots in Little Rock. Their latest album has been described by Stereogum as “menacing” and “explosive,” setting a fierce tone for the lineup. Alongside The Body are notable Arkansas bands like Pallbearer and Rwake, complemented by national acts such as Exhorder, Royal Thunder, and Sunrot.
The festival isn’t just about heavy metal; attendees can also enjoy the sounds of California singer-songwriter Cinder Well, providing a refreshing contrast to the high-energy performances. A standout act is Black Oak Arkansas, the namesake of the festival. Known for their classic rock hits, the band, formed in the ’70s, is revered as one of the highest-grossing live acts in the country during their peak.
The festival promises a mix of intense and diverse sounds that cater to all musical palettes, encapsulating an energetic celebration of rock and metal.
