Former Arkansas Razorbacks running back Darren McFadden has been announced as the guest speaker for the Arkansas Travelers’ upcoming Faith and Family Night on Saturday, May 31. McFadden will take the stage at CHI St. Vincent Field in North Little Rock, stepping in as a last-minute replacement for Olympic gold-medal gymnast Jordyn Wieber, who canceled her appearance due to unforeseen circumstances.
McFadden, a celebrated athlete known for his impressive college career at the University of Arkansas, rushed for over 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons. He was selected in the first round of the 2008 NFL draft by the Oakland Raiders, where he played for seven seasons before concluding his career with the Dallas Cowboys in 2017. Throughout his time in the NFL, he amassed a total of 5,421 rushing yards, including two seasons with over 1,000 yards.
During the event, McFadden will engage in a moderated Q&A session starting at 4:45 p.m. and will be available for fan interactions prior to the game’s first pitch at 6:05 p.m.
