UCA Men’s Basketball Welcomes Australian Guard Harrison Beauchamp
CONWAY, Ark. — The University of Central Arkansas (UCA) men’s basketball program has announced the addition of Harrison Beauchamp, a 6-foot-6 freshman guard from Victoria, Australia. Head coach John Shulman revealed the signing, marking Beauchamp as the second Australian player to join the Bears’ roster.
Beauchamp has an impressive basketball pedigree, having most recently played at Marcelin College and currently participating in the NBL1 league. He served as captain of the Australian U17 national team and was awarded the Most Valuable Player at the 2024 FIBA World Cup group stage, where he averaged 11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. He also led the Australian National Team to a gold medal victory in Qatar in 2023.
His accolades don’t stop there; Beauchamp has won three gold medals as captain of the U16-U18 Victorian national championship teams and was recognized as the Victoria Junior Basketballer of the Year in both 2022 and 2024.
“Harry is a guy that we heard a lot about this spring,” said Shulman. “He has had tremendous success during his prep years, both in high school and with his national team. Once we got to lay eyes on him, it was apparent that his skill set fit the things that we value.”
Coach Shulman praised Beauchamp’s shooting ability and basketball IQ, highlighting his competitive edge and love for the game. “We are really excited about what he brings to the table for the Bears,” he added.
With Beauchamp’s arrival, UCA men’s basketball looks to bolster its roster and enhance its competitive edge in upcoming seasons.
