FEMA Opens New Survivor Assistance Sites in Arkansas for Storm Recovery
In light of the severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding that struck Arkansas between March 14 and April 22, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has launched four new Survivor Assistance Sites and extended services at several existing locations. These centers aim to offer residents crucial face-to-face support as they navigate disaster recovery.
The newly established sites will facilitate FEMA application assistance, updates on existing cases, and additional recovery resources. Operation hours and dates may vary, underscoring the importance of checking the nearest location for specific information.
One of the newly designated sites includes the Hardy Fire Station in Sharp County, which will operate from June 5 to 6 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and June 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents are encouraged to visit these centers to receive in-person assistance tailored to their needs.
